The LAPD Lied, & A Young Woman Died

Horrifying Column One story in the fishwrapper today, as we see another example of police lying (this time legally) in an attempt to get a confession from a murderer. The end result? The young woman the detectives said had fingered the gunman (she hadn't) was shot dead. This is terrorism, in our very back & front yards. How about a war on terror here at home, George W. Bush? You still have a few months left as a lame duck. Maybe you could actually do something useful. And maybe we could grow big leather bat wings & fly to Uranus.
