Russia not being too much higher on the lack-of-political-violence scale than Zimbabwe, that's no surprise. The freedom-loving peoples of the Peoples Republic of China didn't offer an excuse either. (Or simply weren't quoted by the AP. This media criticism or whatever the fug we're up to here is very difficult.)

The Rooskies & the Chicoms are still our enemies & the enemies of democracy. Not that any form of government isn't an enemy of democracy. Not that democracy is worth it, considering the humanoids that might eventually attempt to practice it. Not a U. N. Security Council resolution amounts to a hill of beans, or a bucket of warm piss, or any other anything. Anywhere. At all.
