A Day Like Any Other ... Miserable

Burn Baby Burn!

Convenient illustration of our subtext.
If Home Despot hadn't, for some reason, given me a credit card I'd burn the fucking dump to the ground. Lumber, paint & all sorts of other flammable, toxic crap; it'd be quite the show.

Why arson? Got plenty of exercise walking from aisle to aisle looking for three items their website claimed were in stock in whichever aisle & bay, but there was sweet fuck all. Did find one of the five I wanted, & bought a different brand of something else; that's one (One & a half?) of five. Not even empty spaces where the items had been but had sold out. The last of the five was visible, but some wage-slave was stocking the aisle & had it fenced off the entire hr. I wandered in the desert.

Can't decide if I want to summon the energy to send the incompetent bastard manager an e-mail, but his name & address are right on the receipt.

Enough Already

Had it w/ the outside world of low-life human scum, middle-class pigs, billionaires & the rest of you. (I'd kill for enough money to have everything delivered.) No point sitting here typing all day for an audience of tens of the 370–400 million native-born English speakers, & the approximate additional billion who use it as a second language. Not that I'd expect all the furriners to get the subtle humour that's extruded here daily, but they should dig the images & music.

Fortunately, there is distraction, the layout occupying a quarter to a third of the bunker, which I'd like to finish before I fall over & die, when it will no doubt be destroyed by the Philistine slumlord. Thus the way of all things. And I keep discovering things to do on YouTube. Who knew to paint the ties & track? Yet once you've seen painted rails & ties, naked, unrusted, unweathered rails & black ties won't cut it.

Also, this one neat trick."Fiddly little jobs" indeed. A possibly easier version of the neat trick.

Cletus Safari: Meet The Moping Morons

Stupidity increased throughout the day.

Per Nancy Nall & The NYT, there's one born every minute:
The stupidest motherfuckers on the planet, ladies and gentlemen. The guy making that argument for not levying property taxes on people living in paid-off houses thinks he might enjoy that benefit someday. His tiny brain can’t conceive that the richest people in the country — the kind who can afford to pay cash for a house — would be the happiest recipients of this policy change. He doesn’t even understand what property taxes are, does he? No, he does not. And yet, his vote counted the same as yours.

Bring back civics education. And happy Wednesday to all who live in this stupid, doomed country.

Read it & weep. Or other visceral reactions. How many of these fools will nonetheless vote for a moderate, sensible (in comparison) Republican douchewallader like Li'l Marco "Tiny Feet" Rubio? Doomed indeed. Hope the "gift link" works.

Sanewashing Continues From Former "Tiffany Network" ...

... Which Is Now The Nazi Network

Idolatry: 15-ft. gilded statue of The Donald at Trump Doral.
Decoding Fox News tells us:
On Sunday April 26 President Donald J. Trump sat down with Norah O’Donnell for a CBS “60 Minutes” interview the day after a shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

That evening a 13-minute edit of the interview aired on CBS. The network also published the full 40-minute version on “60 Minutes Overtime.”

I went through both and made a transcript of exactly what was included and what was cut from the shorter version that aired on network television. The final 13-minute edit that CBS broadcast on Sunday was a bit of a Frankenstein monster as the president was sometimes cut off mid-sentence while other sections were cut and moved around to give the conversation a better flow.

Throughout the longer un-edited interview the president gave disorganized rambling answers that were filled with false statements about foreign investment in the U.S., immigration, and the 2020 election. He also brought up transgender athletes more than once and trashed the Democratic Party and the members of the press.

"Transgender For Everyone"

My favorite part:
Things like transgender for everyone. [?!?] I’m against that. There’s so many things that I’m against. I don’t think they’re controversial. I think the other side is controversial, but I do a lot of things and I get things done. And, you know, we’re respected now as a country all over the world. And some people love that, but some people probably don’t.
He's gotten one hell of a lot of "things" done alright. Eternal war, internal strife, tariffs, the list of his accomplishments is never-ending. And he's kept us safe: Men can be absolutely certain that no lezbos are coming to their houses to "transgender" them in Lumpy's America.
Echoing the reported opinion of former US secretary of state Rex Tillerson, Lebowitz thinks the biggest danger of Trump is that he is a moron. “Everyone says he is crazy – which maybe he is – but the scarier thing about him is that he is stupid. You do not know anyone as stupid as Donald Trump. You just don’t.”
Stupid, & scared of things that don't exist. Paranoid delusions.
AI Overview: These delusions are a severe form of paranoia, often involving persecution, and are treated with a combination of medication and psychotherapy.
P.S.: Who the hell's this "Al" who's suddenly everywhere, acts as if he knows everything & is a great surrealist painter?

Let's Hope We Don't See Anything Else This Stupid For The Rest Of The Day

"86 47"? That's nothing. Try these: Impeach, indict, imprison! Off w/ his head!! Kill him before he kills you!!!

Wash Day Blues

Pretty pics to distract from my ultimatum/death threat.

Ultimatum For The Slumlord

If the fucking laundry room isn't working by May Day, I will march my ass the two blocks to your offices & suffocate your cheap parasitic ass w/ my dirty laundry, you putrid bastard, as there is no point to living any damn longer if I have to leave the bunker to get my washing done. Six-plus months of going to the laundromat signed your death warrant, you rancid son-of-a-bitch. It's killing time!!
Pretty good sound considering the lack of microphones & amplification.

"Curses! Foiled Again!!

At last, Second Amendment-style resistance. Sic semper tyrannis, to coin a phrase.

The Crook-in-Chief should be living in constant paranoia by now. That's the kind of reality that does intrude on his otherwise delusional mind. Live in fear, puny humanoid!

"The Situation Is Under Control"

More Of This, Please

Islamic militants and separatists attacked several locations in Mali's capital and other cities on Saturday, in one of the largest coordinated attacks in the country in recent years. The military said later in the day that the situation was under control.
Can't wait until the Xianist extremists & separatists start this crap here. Although the Trump/Hegseth U.S. military may be on the Xian side. Death to seditionists & insurrectionists!!

It Was Fifty Yrs. Ago Today ...

No memory of watching this 50 yrs. ago (or any time since).

Scheduled months ago, possibly before Mark (The Phlorescent Leech) Volman passed. And Martin Mull's been history for almost two yrs. now. Half-amazed I'm still here. One of these days this may be posts from a ghost. Have an item scheduled almost a yr. & a half out, because that's the 100th anniv., & no one cares about 99.

The Wiccan Menace Threatens Us All!

Get Help Before It's Too Late, Weirdo!

Will this delusional witchfinder order the Navy to start bombing Monterey because Wiccans give him the willies?
What rocks does the Pervert Party turn over to find these bizarre specimens?
“We can’t let it turn like this. There’s a place in Monterey, California called Lovers Point. The original name was Lovers of Christ Point, but now it’s become– they took out the Christ, it’s Lovers Point, and it’s really– Monterey is a very dark place now,” said Cao during an interview with former Bethel Church pastor Sean Feucht. “A lot of witchcraft and the Wiccan community has really taken over. We can’t let that happen to Virginia.”

Business Insider reported at the time that while there did appear to be a Wiccan presence in Monterey, there was “little evidence that the community has ‘taken over’ the sunny seaside locale.”

It's the 21st damn Century, people: Comic books & fairy tales are not real. Fun, but fiction!! And now, the First Amendment's guarantee of the free exercise of religion is becoming fiction.

Fact check: It's in Pacific Grove, not Monterey, it may not have been "Lovers of Christ Park" since the 19th Century, when it was a Methodist retreat, & it's now a city park, so no endorsement of religion. Acting Sec. Cao seems to know more about fairy stories than our Constitution & its First amenedment.

A-Hem!!

Timely reminder from Cassandra's Grandson (On the High Desert) to those who disobey Gawd at America Reads The Bible, from a version of the King James Version:
When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. They have their reward. But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will hear your prayer.
Street corners nothing, stay off the telebision, disobediant heretics!

Josh Hawley And The Parable Of
The Single-Income Family

More magical thinking from Missouri moron (& Sen.) Josh Hawley, whose bizarre fantasy involves something alright. What exactly that is is anybody's guess, but surely no one older than eight or ten could believe these not-in-The-Bible stories.
"No, we need a kingdom economy. Last I looked, the Lord Jesus was king over our economic life, over our labor, over our families, as much as he is over the church. Amen? We need to reassert the Lordship of Christ. And for those who say to us, 'Leave this to us. Christians, leave the economics to us. Christians, leave the social policy to us. Christians, leave the family to us,' we will say, 'Not on your life, because we serve a Lord who's lord over all of those things. And we will raise up an altar to claim this ground for him, for this country, over the innocent unborn, over our families, over our men and over their labor.'"
What part of NO KINGS do these people not get? Why do we need to "reassert the Lordship of Christ"? Why are we always doing his work? He can reassert the hell out of himself simply by descending from Heaven on His Trumpian Holy Golden Escalator anywhere he'd like, but no. He & Josh are kinda sissified, aren't they? Yes.
Are the works-w/-his hands calluses on his hands from gripping bottles?
Hawley said that the nation must focus on raising up men who are equipped to lead their families in accordance with the Bible. The key to accomplishing this, Hawley asserted, is creating a Christian economy "where a man can support himself and his wife and family by the work of his hands."
Does he mean we should all be janitors & farmworkers? Does this Xian economy mean no regulation & plenty of job discrimination? And how will Jesus perform this miracle, by dictating wages & prices, Commie-style? Waving his magic Jesus wand? He won't even stop wars or genocides, why would he ever give enough of a crap about Hawley's inane fantasies to perform radical change on American society?Another pantywaisted creep who has issues w/ his "masculinity", The Zuck.

Retrospection & Reflection

Interesting how thirty yrs. of being abused when not being ignored can turn one into an alienated loner w/ mass killer potential, especially after someone who should have known the fuck better is a squeaing rat yet again. (Lose my number, asshole!)

And why can't I kill? The United Snakes Gov't. kills innocents every day & threatens to destroy whole civilizations, allegedly in your & my names, yet I am not allowed even to speak of the righteous & entirely justified deaths of my enemies? The never-ending hypocrisy only increases my desire to kill, two-faced scum! Think about that for a while.

More Candidates For The Guillotine

Surveillance and analytics company Palantir recently posted what it called a “brief” 22-point summary of CEO Alex Karp’s book “The Technological Republic.”

Written by Karp and Palantir’s head of corporate affairs, Nicholas Zamiska, “The Technological Republic” was published last year ;and described by its authors as “the beginnings of the articulation of the theory” behind Palantir’s work. (One critic said it was “not a book at all, but a piece of corporate sales material.”)

The company’s ideological bent has come under more scrutiny since then, as tech industry figures have debated Palantir’s work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and as the company has positioned itself as an organization working for the defense of “the West.”

In fact, congressional Democrats recently sent a letter to ICE and the Department of Homeland Security demanding more information about how tools built by Palantir and “a range of surveillance companies” are being used in the Trump administration’s aggressive deportation strategy.

Palantir’s post doesn’t reference much of that context directly, simply saying that it’s providing the summary “because we get asked a lot.” It then suggests that “Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible” and declares that “free email is not enough.”

“The decadence of a culture or civilization, and indeed its ruling class, will be forgiven only if that culture is capable of delivering economic growth and security for the public,” the company says.

The post is wide-ranging, at one point criticizing a culture that “almost snickers at [Elon] Musk’s interest in grand narrative” and at another point touching on recent debates about the use of artificial intelligence by the military.

“The question is not whether A.I. weapons will be built; it is who will build them and for what purpose,” Palantir says. “Our adversaries will not pause to indulge in theatrical debates about the merits of developing technologies with critical military and national security applications. They will proceed.”

Similarly, the company suggests that “the atomic age is ending,” while “a new era of deterrence built on A.I. is set to begin.”

The post also takes a moment to denounce the “postwar neutering of Germany and Japan,” adding that the “defanging of Germany was an overcorrection for which Europe is now paying a heavy price” and that “a similar and highly theatrical commitment to Japanese pacifism” could “threaten to shift the balance of power in Asia.”

The post ends by criticizing “the shallow temptation of a vacant and hollow pluralism.” In Palantir’s argument, a blind devotion to pluralism and inclusivity “glosses over the fact that certain cultures and indeed subcultures . . . have produced wonders. Others have proven middling, and worse, regressive and harmful.”

After Palantir posted this on Saturday, Eliot Higgins, the CEO of the investigative website Bellingcat, dryly remarked that it was “extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement.”

Higgins also argued that there’s more to the post than a simple “defense of the West” — in his view, it’s an attack on what he said are key pillars of democracy that need rebuilding: verification, deliberation, and accountability.

“It’s also worth being clear about who’s doing the arguing,” Higgins wrote. “Palantir sells operational software to defense, intelligence, immigration & police agencies. These 22 points aren’t philosophy floating in space, they’re the public ideology of a company whose revenue depends on the politics it’s advocating.”

Nothing Can Be Trusted

Is this "real"? Can anything the Dep't. Of "War" claims be believed? We know the "wartime Prez" has his head so far up his ass he has no idea what's going on, will say anything at any time & then contradict it minutes later. His flunkies kept him from interfering in the recent, rather nebulous rescue mission. The "missing airman" or "highly respected Colonel" (Not the same thing: Airmen are enlisted personnel, colonels are commissioned officers.) or both, who knows, have yet to be identified.
Donald Trump, 79, reportedly threw such a tantrum during a fraught rescue operation in Iran that his aides banished him from the room as they were briefed.

Senior administration officials told Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal that the commander-in-chief went into a frenzied state upon learning two airmen were missing when their fighter jet was downed in Iran.

His hours-long tirade became such a hindrance that aides barred him from the room handling the crisis, opting instead to brief him at intervals, officials revealed to the Journal.

Only a sissy would let those punks shove him around like that. Is that what those 77 million cretins voted for, a big fat pantywaist?

First Cult Of Christ, Supremacist

Blasphemy, sacrilege, heresy & hypocrisy, yet no one bats an eye.
His messianic glazing was also key in creating an entire cottage industry of some of
the most heretical products ever produced, including Trump-themed Bibles and, this is true,
knockoff audio books for kids in which a fake Trump voice narrates biblical stories like
Noah’s Ark (“So, there was this guy, Noah, right? Amazing guy, very successful in his field…”)
and the birth of Jesus Christ
(“One day, Mary is visited by the angel Gabriel, top angel, great messenger…”).
As I have been pretty open about my ex-evangelical past and have talked at length about the utility of evangelicalism in creating and supporting MAGA, I heard from a lot of people after the Papa back-and-forth and the Trump/Christ post. Most of the questions shared a similar theme: Is this the moment where Christians finally abandon Trump?

No.

It’s not.

And, before we get to the larger story here, a succinct reason why: evangelicals exist in a reality where they have been taken advantage of by one grifter after another who placed themselves as stand-ins for Christ as they stole their money, preached obvious heresies, and were often found to engage in absolutely sadistic and unspeakable abuses against their parishioners, including children. Trump is familiar to them. Comforting, even. His tenure as the leader of a death cult was made possible by decades of other death cult leaders and he will be far from the last one.

In fact, what we are witnessing right now is a story that has been in the works for a long time. For centuries. Now, as the American Empire begins to buckle and fall, we are likely experiencing the rise of a “new” religion. And its emergence is an integral part of the larger unfolding history of both the fall of America but also the birth of a new order.

The Return Of Colonialism

Today In Real Estate: Start A War, Kill Your Neighbors & Steal Their Land

Uri Tzafon’s informal, oft-repeated motto is “occupation, expulsion, settlement.” It has advanced the idea that Israel must move its northern border to the Litani River—which bisects Lebanon about 15 miles north of the current Israeli boundary—and occupy a depopulated southern Lebanon, comprising some 10% of Lebanon’s total territory.

That idea is now a “broad and troubling consensus” in Israel, as the journalist Moshe Gilad wrote in Haaretz on April 9th. In early March, soon after Hezbollah launched attacks on Israel in response to the joint US and Israel war on Iran, Israeli public figures began calling for the occupation and depopulation of southern Lebanon — a claim repeated again and again by mainstream Israeli media personalities. Retired military leaders and politicians also voiced their support, and members of Knesset soon joined the call for occupation. On April 7th, 20 members of Knesset (MKs) wrote to the Israeli cabinet advocating for “occupation and full control” of southern Lebanon alongside “the complete displacement of the population.” One poll found that 62% of Israelis now support the idea of occupying all of Lebanon south of the Litani River.

62% of them seem nice.
These aspirations are being translated into policy: On March 24th, Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the military would control southern Lebanon up to the Litani, and prevent the return of hundreds of thousands of residents. A week later, he said that all homes near the border would be destroyed, “like in Rafah and Beit Hanoun,” in order “to permanently remove border-adjacent threats.” Israel has now issued evacuation orders for about 15% of Lebanon’s territory, part of its campaign to ethnically cleanse the southern part of the country, specifically of Shiite Muslims. (Hezbollah is a Shiite organization.) “Every home in southern Lebanon, the Shiite homes, are control command centers, they hold weapon supplies, they have tunnels going beneath them,” Israeli military spokesperson Doron Spielman recently said, in comments chillingly reminiscent of Israel’s justification for the destruction of Gaza. Over a million people have already been displaced from southern Lebanon, and over 2,000 people have been killed, with nearly 6,000 injured.
Some call it gentrification, some call it "ethnic cleansing".
