"Tired of Living, Scared of Dying"

OK, we'll admit it. There is such a thing as a drive-by knifing. Not nearly as likely as a drive-by shooting. But in a crypto-fascist, over-populated anthill society like Nippon (w/ its repressive anti-gun laws) what the fuck-tuck-tucking hell do you expect?
"The suspect told police that he came to Akihabara to kill people," said Jiro Akaogi, a spokesman for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. "He said he was tired of life. He said he was sick of everything," Akaogi said.
Who doesn't know that feeling?

I don't understand killing random people you don't even know. I really don't.

It's sick when fucked-up guys like this do it; it's even more sick when guys like George Bush and Dick Cheney do it.

It doesn't really matter after a certain point. Maybe this guy didn't know anyone any more, & took his existential agony to a new level. But workplace/family sprees are more comprehensible.
