The End

Thark's hair is perfect, as is the lady's.

"The spare part came just in time" - I wonder if UPS or FedEx is the shipping service that survived into this future time.

"Earth Council...[has] passed a death sentence on Zorka!" - As in our own time, archaic formalities like trials and a chance to confront witnesses against you are no longer necessary.

"He's to be executed in the gamma ray disintegrator!" Probably not any more effective than our current methods, actually.

Zorka is wearing an X on his clothing - perhaps an indicator of his condemned status. His brow is furrowed, but all his troubles will soon be over (in THIS life, at least.)

Like the happy couple, my niece is about to get married (on Friday). She and her intended have a gift list at Crate and Barrel. I wonder if customs like this persisted.

Although this is "The End" of this story, and this phase of existence for John Morgan and his beloved, it is also the beginning of the next phase. Sun rise, sun set, sun rise, sun set....

Maybe they could rent a hall and have the execution right before the wedding.

Kill or Fuck Editor:
Will marriage persist in the age of the gamma-ray disintegrator?

Fashion Ed.:
All the crooks had big black Xs on their T-shirts. We've found that most X fans are criminals.

MG "wins;" he got the juxtaposition.
