We'd cut a notch in the top of a 4x4 post and set an 8" round piece of quarter inch steel in the notch.
Hit it and everybody could hear it, plus it would fall to the ground, which was double-plus satisfying. Run six if them in less than three seconds and the auditory feedback could make you cum. Srsly...
