I was so disappointed at the timeline I didn't bother w/ the rest of the story. Figures, though.
It's the ones you don't see that'll get ya.
To be clear, 1km wide would be a pretty serious impact.
But as far a wiping out all humans, at least twice as wide, sixteen times as massive, maybe more, is needed.
