Correction: August 20, 2014Feel better, Deschutes County?An earlier version of this map misstated some of the quantities of military equipment that had been sent to counties around the United States. For example, Deschutes County, Ore., received one armored vehicle, not two.

Meh. The US is at no greater risk than it was on Sept. 10, 2001. 9/11 was a massive anomaly, an almost impossible feat of planning and coordination that won't happen again. Oh, at some point we'll see a truck bomb or a mall attack, but hell, we already have our own wackjobs shooting up schools and theaters, so we'll probably not notice...
We will keep bombing foreigners until it is safe!
