Local Music Action Ed.: Hey, our taste in music remains Summer of '67-ish, when we'd just hit teen-age, 'cept for the Jamaican & punk stuff. Summers of '70 & '76, respectively.
Crap, now that we look at that shot, wish we'd gotten the rest of his axe & hands in it.
Watt's been around the L.A. scene for ages & we've never heard any bad words about him, seems to be a decent human while talking from the stage, & not untalented.
The "waste of electrons" tag means we shot it, except for the first few times we used the tag when we applied it to esp. egregious Internettery.
Dammit. I think several times a day when "writing" that "readers will look at this post's tag, and then they will understand."
So embarrassed to have missed that. Thanks for cluing me in, though, and now I suspect the Internet would be better off if I were to have a bit of a lie down.
Also, and this will really be the last for a few hours, I have to say that upon another look, I think one of the things that made me like that shot was precisely that his hands and so forth were mostly out of the frame. Makes his looking downward more emphatic, maybe? Or maybe it is just that the shot draws the eye toward the subject's face.
That's a good blues visage, in any case. Hope you offer him a hi-res copy.

That penultimate pic makes me wish I knew more about Mike Watt.
That's why I say, Hey man, nice shot. What a good shot, man.
(Yes, yes, I know you loathe my inner teenaged boy's taste in music.)
But, 4srs, that was an appealing photo. You took it, I presume.

Don't worry about the tags, we're like totally indiscriminate w/
