Nut Picking (By Which We Mean We Pick The Very Best & Present Them W/o Charge, Saving Others The Trouble & Expense)

Stay away from movies, books, TV shows, etc. that snark at conservatism even tangentially. Our list of TV shows we don't watch anymore even though they are basically entertaining includes, of course, L&O, and House, Numbers, One and Half Men [sic], NCIS LA, the Good Wife, Cash Cab and other that don't come to mind right now.

Funny, Dick Wolfe, creator of the L&O franchise, used to be seen as conservative (at least for someone successful in Hollywood). House? Don't watch much, but, like, huh? NCIS LA? Is that because there's a colored fellow in it? We've watched a few times; most of it is spent going after terrorists, rather than doing what the NCIS really does, the same things any police agency does, except on naval bases or ships. Perhaps it's just that w/ Obama in charge now, anything the gummint does is wrong, even stopping terrorists.

Numbers? Maybe it's the scientific basis that bothers "erp." Or the NCIS LA take: "It's the gov't., it's evil." The FBI + math geeks, working together. Too smart! Sciencey! Not conservative!

We haven't figured out The Good Wife out. It is outwardly political, that is, The G. W.'s husband, a Chicago politician, has been popped for something (Blago style) & a sex scandal w/ a prostitute has been lumped in (It's tee vee. C'mon!) but we suspect that in the great American tradition of balance & objectivity, reactions may depend the upon the frequency of the dog whistle the viewer's ideological master uses.

Hold it!! Just remembered: A senior partner at The Wife's law firm has a schoolgirl crush on (or an adult woman's heat for, we don't know from dames) a ballistics expert/gun nut who is presented as a right-winger & admirer of S. Palin, which did allow for senior partner woman to administer some snark. And ballistics expert (who is not in any way presented as a drooling idjit) whipped out some equivalent anti-lib snark himself, in that balanced & objective way Hollywood has. So we can only conclude that "erp" is a hypersensitive idiot. Typing "even tangentially" probably gives that away. Not unlike a four yr. old complaining about her brother giving her the fish-eye ("Mommy, make him stop looking at me!") even tangential snarking is enough to give "erp" a fit.

Hollywood makes up their own reality. Remember it wasn't one of their own who "outed" an already out spy, it wasn't one of their own who flew into the IRS building or shot minority teachers, they never let facts get in the way of their narrative.

Respectfully disagree. Bullock's "Miss Congeniality" also had a snark against Cheney and Halliburton, so I think it was a deliberate shout out to her lefty friends that she doesn't mean a thing she's saying in the film and as a result her films were already on our no-go list.

Andy, I made a film called FORGOTTEN HEROES it is an unreleased film that honors and shows Americans as heroes. The Hollywood left didn't want YOU to see this film. They couldn't stop THE PASSION because Mel has the money to fight these nazi fascist, I didn't have a dime to fight these animals. It really won't matter to me, if or when Hollywood changes its tune. I won't know, because I don't care. I've rediscovered books, magazines, radio, the internet, religious television, and yes, church. Hollywood is so irrelevant, that my only contact with it is this glorious site. Hollywood is just one more seamy aspect (along with government, media, science, and academia) of the decadence and lies that have subverted the American nation.
