Nervous Nellie

You just never know about people, there may have been a reason someone never discussed political crap, or claimed to be apolitical, but if these two anecdotal radicalizations are to be taken at face value (What do you want, statistics? Bor-ring! Polls? C'mon.) as typical/representative there may be interesting elections ahead.

And to be frank in our prejudices (We like to think we're being honest, but we'll just be honest instead.) we all could be in for trouble if a significant slice of the chronically ignorant who compose these United Snakes buy into Tea Partying & Beckanoia because they've never previously been interested in the actual world, & so haven't anything resembling a clue, or a stomach for seeing their sausage made.

Or is it just concern trolling at the PuffHo?
Something is happening in America: the radicalization of people like Robby and Betsy that President Obama and this administration ignore at their own political peril and the passage of this health care legislation without a single Republican vote portends serious trouble for his party with voters like these and come November we may be in for a radical realignment of historic proportions.

I've previously written about the possibility of Democrats being in serious danger of losing between 75-100 seats in the House and maybe as many as 10 in the Senate. Crazy, I know, but no more crazy than a Tea Party candidate winning Ted Kennedy's seat. After this vote, I think I may have underestimated. And if Betsy and Robby are any indication, even Senators like Russ Feingold and Barbara Boxer, their representatives in the Senate, are in for the political fights of their lives from these radicalized voters.
We don't give a shit either way. Gun to our head, we'd be surprised if any of this foaming lunacy results in much beyond bitter Republican primaries. Sure, a few more-blatant loons will be nominated, & one or two will win a seat & some attention, but we suspect that even if power changes hands Washington will continue relatively unchanged, & the newly-radical reactionaries will just get madder. What happens after that?
