This may be one of the Major's weapons. (Not the actual one, an example. Sheesh.) Per Danger Room. (Do they send royalties to MARVEL/Disney for use of that phrase?)
Certainly there was a Major Malfunction, but I blame Dick Cheney, his youthful ward teh shrub, and all the little chickenhawk cowards and war-profiteers (lookin' at you, Holy Joe Liarman).
Until Maj. Hasan's alleged rampage, I hadn't heard about the new 5.7 mm round and of course those lefties at MSNBC (I'm talking about YOU, Rachel Maddow, you un-American you!) called it a cop-killer round because it was designed to penetrate Kevlar vests. Anyway, with only two handguns, the Major accomplished an unheard-of feat of marksmanship, taking out 43 people before he was himself wounded. P.

Better Living Through Chemistry Editor:
We wonder who plugged whom out of the 43 hit, or if it will ever be known.
And what's that blue tip on those rounds, Kevlar™-Buster?
