Broadcast Media Wrap-Up

We'd planned to type something in a Brent Bozell III vein about the American Empire being single-handedly brought down by the four major broadcast networks' failure to program anything new or original beyond fast & cheap docu-tainment ("48 Hours Mystery," Cops," "America's Most Wanted") on Saturday nights. (W/o diverting programming to keep them on the couch, Americans are going out, drinking & having sex. So long, moral fiber.) But why fucking bother?™ Then this unfortunate discovery reminded us of the perfidy of telebision. So we decided to get the other bitching out & call it a "Wrap-Up."

I don't think they should be making fun of Smokey's corpse like that. I didn't even know he'd died.
Smokey on ice!
No one dares mention that Smokey's face died & has been on ice for several yrs.
Sweet Blood of Jesus, the newspaper version of Metromix (A Tribune Co. enterprise) was on the streets here, indeed, some L. A. Times newsracks became free Metromix newsracks, & after about six mos. they changed the name to "Brand X." You've been warned.
And here's Smokey's ghost, praying while skating on his knees.
And also.
