"He May Be A Bastard, But He's Our Bast ..."

As mentioned earlier, it's bad enough for the Bush Admin. to have the guy the purple-fingered illiterates elected to run the colony mouthing off & playing kissy face w/ the Persians, but when Iwad Allawi, who was actually installed as the Iraqi prime minister by the Bush Admin. in 2004, starts bitching & moaning, well...
"Yes, Bush's policies failed utterly," said Allawi, describing the U.S. administration that once backed him. "Utter failure. Failure of U.S. domestic and foreign policy, including fighting terrorism and economic policy." "His insistence on names like 'democracy' and 'open elections', without giving attention to political stability, was a big mistake. It cast shadows on Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Egypt, and I believe this will be remembered in history as President Bush's policy," he said.
We can only hope so.

Hi, M -

Red Rock trail - the easy part (Old Topanga to the start of the hill) is about 1/2 hour each way - in and out. Easy walking. If you continue past the hill, you'll get a good workout with a nice pay-off at the top - a bench on the saddle of the ridge with great views. That's another 15-20 minutes up, 15 minutes going back down.

I used to walk to the bench once a week, it was about 1 and 1/2 hour total. (longer now i'm more winded).

At the bench, if you turn left, you can really test your cardio by going steeply up to Calabasas Peak. I did that once - should prbably try again someday.

The easy part is nice, with lots of trees and shade, so you can walk any time of day. The hard part is shade-less, so should probably not be attempted for the first time on a hot afternoon.

enjoy and happy New Year.

Thank you so much. (We were going to look it up ourself.) An hour round-trip sounds good.
