Mental State: Numb Yet Anxious

For various reasons, we here @ Just Another Blog (From L. A.)™ are especially numb yet anxious today, & just can't find anything to blather about. (Note post below for a good indication of our current intellectual bankruptcy.) Yesterday, we contemplated responding to a letter to the editor in the "Liberal Fascism" vein extruded @ The American Thinker, which appears to be a Christian Zionist site, among other things: "National security in all its dimensions, strategic, economic, diplomatic, and military is emphasized. The right to exist and the survival of the State of Israel are of great importance to us." The letter was based on its author finding books on Nazis in the "Nationalsozialismus" section in German bookstores. See? Socialism! Nazis were all leftists!! Case Closed!!!

The letter responded to an article entitled "The Nazis and Christianity," by one Bruce Walker, which we didn't get around to reading. Mr. Walker, we might add, has written a book entitled: Sinisterism: Secular Religion of the Lie,
(Scary, isn't it?)
which may have been an inspiration for Jonah Goldberg's long-awaited Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, from Mussolini to The Politics of Meaning. (Previous subtitles: The Totalitarian Temptation from Hegel to Whole Foods, The Totalitarian Temptation from Hegel to Hillary Clinton, The Totalitarian Temptation From Mussolini to Hillary Clinton. Make up your mind, goateed toad!)
(Not frightening at all, just plain stupid.)
We are surprised that Mr. Goldberg didn't adopt the more Hitlerian Happy Face (Is Mr. Happy WalMart Symbol supposed to represent the left in some way? We thought it was the hammer & sickle.) as sported below by Lynx & Lamb of acoustic hate-folk duo Prussian Blue:Fortunately, the heavy lifting of rebuttal & refutation has been done for us, & for you, the viewer as well, by Alex Constantine of alex constantine's blacklist. Also of interest @ the blacklist: Xtian Nazi Photos, Blackwater as Distraction, Nato & the PNAC, and the "temporarily missing" nukes of a couple of months ago, which Just Another Blog™ mentioned in September.
