The pricks at UP have painted three locos to "pay tribute to our nation’s presidents". (Tribute* indeed: Apparently this 4547 abomination is the Union Pacific sucking up to Fats to get their purchase of Norfolk Southern approved.) The other two are "tribute" to Abraham Lincoln & oil man G.H.W. Bush, the one-term 41st Pres. who lost to Slick Willie. That's some accomplishment. F.D.R.? J.F.K.? Demoncrats, obviously. No more UP rolling stock on the layout; they're not getting a penny in licensing from me. *Per Merriam-Webster: "Historical Payment: Wealth or valuables given by a weaker nation or group to a dominant power as a sign of submission or to ensure peace."
