Although I'm not usually on the bus, some of those butterfly/bee/spider/flower pictures I take would be pretty amusing if someone was behind me taking a picture.
Here's moi, standing in the middle of a garden in a public park with my face stuck almost into a flower, while everyone else is using the adjacent walkways like normal people. ~
Stealthy, well aware of the danger of someone taking offense, & sit pretty far back, usually w/ no one behind us.
No flash (or flashing) & the stupid "shutter noise" is set to OFF, so most ninnies don't even know, because they are ninnies who are wrapped up in their smarty 'phones.
Thunder needn't worry, he's only going to be stung or bitten, not shot or shivved.
And as aesthetes/artistes, we all forgot how oblivious the ordinary American is to his/her surroundings, phone/pad enraptured or not.
*We are also clean-shaven again, so not that damn creepy.

What do people think of the creepy guy who looks like a drifter/flasher* always snapping pictures?
*I'z just funnin' Mr. Bouffant. The creepy part I meant, though. Lovingly.
