WeHo Is A Summer Festival

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — An assault and hit-and-run early Thursday morning injured four people, one critically.

A group of women in their 20s were harassing a man who was drunk around 2 a.m. outside of a parking structure near Robertson Boulevard and El Tovar Place in West Hollywood, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

“He ended up assaulting them with his belt and the buckle of a belt,” said Lt Michael White.

The man then got into the passenger seat of a vehicle and a woman nearby tried to take a picture of the car’s license plate.

“The driver of that car attempted to run her over and in the process he also truck two other people who were across the street,” Lt. White said.

A female victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery for broken bones and internal injuries. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was not transported.

Two other women also suffered unknown injuries after being struck by the man’s belt.

The unidentified driver, who authorities believe was under the influence of alcohol, did not stop immediately after the accident; however, deputies were able to pull the suspect over about two miles from the scene.

The driver and the passenger were arrested.
Time to outlaw automobiles, as well as drunken fools & guns.
