Democracy, Part II (In Which De Yout' A-Loot & A-Wail)

It would appear to our prejudiced mind that, as indicated below, things aren't going well in Greece. Let's get a bit more detail from Reuters. Under what flavor of fascism do they live? 
The conservative government, suffering a sharp drop in popularity in recent months, appealed for calm... [...] "We must not feel weak and disgraced, but furious with the government's incapacity, apathy and irresponsibility," said opposition Socialist party leader George Papandreou, who has seen his party lead opinion polls in recent months. Greece, where one in five lives below the poverty line, has seen a rising wave of anti-government strikes and youth protests in recent months as the global slowdown starts to bite.
Won't be long before we begin to hear that democracy is a "luxury" that we can no longer afford in these troubled economic times, will it?
