Growing up with cultural representations of psychiatric hospitals as soul-crushing, prisonlike institutions, my impression of such treatment centers was quite negative. Then I was a patient in one.A clue for the clueless: If you are so bestial & ignorant that you are unable to see that the world of shit & lies humans have constructed is itself a soul-crushing, prisonlike institution, but have instead checked into a lesser reflection of your world so you can return to the flock w/ your mind emptied, you have more of a problem w/ your intelligence & powers of observation than any mental health issues, virtually all of which can be traced directly to the suffering once-decent humanoids experience when they live & are coerced by threat of violence into working in this unnatural world of anguish, fear, pain & capital.
The entire point of psychiatric care is to repress the humanoid desire for freedom & return people who resist to producing & consuming. Does our unlivable society need more repressed people w/o choices?
If the mental health industry knew what was good for them they'd knock off their Procrustean efforts to reduce symptoms w/o curing the disease & denounce the cause. Which is contemporary capitalist society. You had any doubts? And maybe overcrowding. Rats in a cage.
Oh wait, they're all whores & tools. (One doesn't get to be a head-candler w/o a costly
Also,
Nothing did more for my recovery, not antipsychotic or antidepressant drugs, than knowing other people had experienced what I was going through and that despite my unwanted, disturbing thoughts I wasn't a monster. This realization wouldn't have been possible without a diagnosis.Dude, had you but once pulled your head out of your ass you might have realized the chance you were the only one on the planet w/ your brand of OCD was tiny. Where do people get these delusions they're such special fucking snowflakes. (Is Big Pig Pharma working on some psychiatric dope to cure egomania & narcissism? That would be fucking useful.)
P.S.: Group therapy-wise, you conformist asshole, yes, misery loves company. How is this therapeutic?
