So what are we to think of another Bob's Big Boy closing?
This particular Bob's has only been open for six years, but it's on the site of a Bob's Big Boy that operated from 1969 to 1995.It was decided 11 yrs. later to reopen at the same failed location? Innovation: Making America great.

One of the primary characteristics of "American Exceptionalism" is an undaunted sense of invulnerability. Shit that happened to someone else happened because that dood was a freakin idiot. I, on the other hand, will find it effortless to avoid the pitfalls and failings that led to his entirely unnecessary downfall.
This can explain much of Darwin...
Well, the old one may have closed because the owner died and the heirs couldn't find a buyer, or any number of reasons. Not necesssarily because the old one failed.
As for the new one failing, this is a hard time for all small businesses. I don't know the exact location of this Big Boy, but if you don't have a major franchiser behind you, it's almost impossible to make a go of it nowadays unless you're selling some sort of ethnic cuisine that isn't franchised (yet)...
Investment Editor:
Probably the first ownership group wasn't holy enough to make a go of it on Hawthorne in Torrance.
