The Dream Is Over:
You'll Never Work Again

VASHON ISLAND, Wash. — Patricia Reid is not in her 70s, an age when many Americans continue to work. She is not even in her 60s. She is just 57.
"Just 57." We like that, having reached just that age yesterday. Our greatest fear is working again, but all gawd's chillun got problems, & we guess we can sympathize w/ Patricia. (Though she looks to have a winter's worth of suet stored under her chin, so we don't know what the fuck she's all worried about.)

Larger picture here is that we know real humans (Sadly, w/o nearly as much food stored for the winter.) who have the same problem. If it took WWII to pull the United Snakes out of that depression, why do we have a recession or whatever while pursuing two wars? (Not to mention adventurism in areas w/o declaration of anything but, "Yeah? Try to stop us.")

This entire ugly George W. Bush financial & economic mess has been an almost perfect exercise in class war, hasn't it?

Class war goes back to Reagan, but it was perfectionized when they bought (or inherited...see NYT and WaPoop) the corporate media.

Aging Luddite Editor Worries:

We get the impression that the lifetime supply may be crammed or shoved somwwhere we don't need or want any Java technology at all.

Historical Perspective Ed. Adds:

Class war is no recent development.

Another Cheap Trick, using the somewhat-holy name of NYC Pickup King Ugly George to link to George Bush (who never picked up a chick in his life). Is said George B. now making a flick about How To Pick Up Chicks?

Careful W/ The Google, Now Editor Answers:

It was the economic mess we were describing as "ugly."

Next time it'll be on purpose: No such thing as bad publicity.
