History Repeating Itself

Will we be put in camps or just left to starve on the streets after we've been evicted?
Abha Bhattarai / Washington Post:
U.S. debt default could hit Social Security payments first  —  A possible lapse in Social Security payments means the oldest beneficiaries — those over 88 — and the disabled could be among the first to suffer  —  Seniors nationwide are on the front lines of the fight to raise the debt ceiling …
I'll guarantee one fucking thing right fucking now: If I'm evicted, the number of dead Repubicans will rapidly increase, starting w/ the parasites who own the dump in which I live. It's called self-defense, or "standing one's ground", & no jury will convict me, because they'll never take me alive!

Throwing Olds out on the street because the SS checks stopped and the landlords have been unleashed... that would heighten some contradictions all right. Would it be enough? Enough to make decent people come out to the polls in sufficient numbers to decisively hammer owner-class politics, and keep coming out election after election to hammer it so hard it would not rear its head for a generation?

The last time, what it took was "being in charge of everything when the Great Depression hit, and then sitting on their hands for three solid years, hoping enough Americans would starve to death to make the Depression end by itself" to tarnish the Republican brand like that. Having Snidely Whiplash throw the Olds onto the street would be a start, but by itself it's probably not enough.
