Second City Sweeps Third

Our sympathies are extended to America's former Second City, Chicago, on the losses by its professional baseball teams, both the pathetic Cubbies, now a hundred yrs. from their most recent (if not last ever) World Series victory, whipped by the Los Angeles (Now America's Second City.) Dodgers in three, & the White Sox, who took four games to lose to Tampa Bay. We'll repeat that: The Tampa Bay Rays. Not even the Devil Rays anymore. No Lakeshore Drive, Van Ryan Expressway, Chicagoland or whatever they'd call it Series between the Cubs & Pale Hose this yr.
And little chance of a Freeway Series in the Southland this yr. either, barring the Angels getting a few timely hits against the Beantown Beaners or whatever Boston calls their club.

That's the Dan Ryan Expressway, named after a south side politician. Dem, of course. The only Republican expressway in Chicago is the Eisenhower Expressway.

Oooops. We knew it wasn't that close to that stupid Frank Sinatra movie. One of these yrs. we'll look something up rather than rely on our worsening memory. Hell, we should've called someone.
