[TRIGGER WARNING: Formerly Just Another Blog From L.A.]
I visited Death Valley in 1993, and it was unforgettable. My friends and I hiked down to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America (it's about 282 feet below sea level). At the bottom, there was a salt flat, pure white salt stretching for quite a span. I had a half-inch of the stuff caked on the soles of my boots.
Been to The Occupied Valley Too Editor:Went to Death V. many Aprils ago. Not much salt, but still got quite grubby.120°F, baby!!
