French firefighters were still battling a wildfire four times the size of Paris cutting through forests west of Bordeaux on Wednesday. (AP video by Alexander Turnbull)
Factoid: The city of Light itself is pretty petite, 6 miles (9.5 km) north-to-south and 7 miles (11 km) east-to-west. The Euros won't have to worry about wildfires as much when there's a major slowdown or shutdown of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) — the broader ocean conveyor belt that includes the Gulf Stream — driven by melting polar ice and freshwater dilution. Is AMOC pronounced "amok"?

A meteor the size of a high school football field is all it would take to wipe out that depraved and vile capital of the evil empire...Washington, DC. Bring it on, indeed.
