Threads Thursday

Not that I give a flying fuck at a rolling dough-nut, but this Threads thing really is app-only, & I haven't had a working mobile for months. Is this discrimination against PC owners?

Not that I ever did anything on Twitter but link to this very web-log. And link anything that I came across that pointed out what a ninny Musk is. Is that why they finally got around to the Twit for which I was suspended? Or did some landlord get pissy?

And does anyone remember the 2021 version of Threads?

Instagram to discontinue Threads app two years after launch

The photo-sharing app will remove Threads app from PlayStore and App Store starting November 23, redirecting people messaging on the platform to the Instagram main app.

In Short

  • From November 23, Threads users on both iOS and Android will begin seeing the notices that the app will shut down by December.
  • Last year, Facebook enabled cross-messaging between Instagram and Facebook.

Similar to Snapchat, Threads was designed as a camera-first mobile messenger for posting status updates and staying in touch with close friends.
