One of those queried (The very first one.) by The NYT offers polling-based factoids, two of which include:
3. They tend to be white and older — 87 percent are white and 60 percent are at least 50 years of age.So:
4. They are NOT uneducated. Forty-six percent have at least a college degree.
3. Yes, true, absolutely. As we noted from mere photo interpretation. Not necessarily a positive, though.
4. Well, there's education, & there's education. (Not sure what recourse pollsters have if someone identifying as a college grad making $100,000.00+/yr. turns out not to be telling the truth.) A 2.0 GPA grad of East Podunk Normal Commuter College w/ a major in Applied Computer Science can still be a low-information voter.
See? You can't make them think:
6. Finally, those with the most positive impression of the Tea Party movement are also most likely to get their news from Fox News — 64 percent say that’s where they get most of their information on politics and current events. We may be able to get another four items from this. (More fucking work: IT NEVER ENDS!!)
MOMENTS LATER: Having read it all, we'll avoid typing items & advise that it should be read; it's rational, information if not fact based (I. e., of course it has a liberal bias no one screamed that Obama was a N(wait for it ...)azi (Hah!) so they must be libz.) takes on TP Mania, w/ historical perspective, even. (How is it that George Wallace, H. Ross Perot & their movements are so seldom considered when hands are wringing over the 'Baggers?)

Teabaggers have a corporate founding, and serve a corporate purpose.
FAUX Nooze, and some astroturfers hired by the anti-health insurance industry founded the teabaggers.

You have to give someone, somewhere, credit for expanding IOKIYAR to "It's OK if you're a White Guy, but no damn black Nazi from Kenya is going to spend my money keeping the economy afloat!"
