Who needs a Surgeon General in the Age of COVID & other plagues?Since January 20, 2025, when Vivek Murthy departed, no surgeon general has been confirmed and the Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS) lists the position as vacant. Deputy Surgeon General Denise Hinton performed the duties of the surgeon general until her retirement in September 2025.

Might be a good idea. Note that Sen. Keating was a Republican, yet spouts the Commie line in response to the social worker from Manhasset's letter at the beginning. And robots were stealing jobs almost 63 yrs. ago too.The Surgeon General gave a damn about his job & knew how to do it. Compare & contrast:
