Mark went back to school at 45, got an M.F.A,. & "became a professor at Belmont University in Nashville, lecturing on the music business for various academic institutions from junior high school to university level."This reporter knew both Mark & Howard in the early to mid-'70s, from occasional hanging out w/ The Mothers & later, when the company I worked for made in-store promotioinal videos for Peaches Records & Tape which starred them. (Wonder if there are copies anywhere.) Both of them fine human beings. Hell, saw Howard at the Mayfair in Silver Lake sometime in the '90s & he remembered me. 

Hell of a mortality contemplation situation. Condolences to all, none of whom will see this. Can't even imagine how Howard must feel.
