NO Burning For You, Locals!
Much of the Southland will be under a “no-burn” order through Thursday, meaning indoor fireplace use and outdoor wood burning will be prohibited due to pollution concerns.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District originally issued the order only for Wednesday for all residences in the South Coast Air Basin, including the greater Los Angeles area, Orange County and the Inland Empire. But pollution forecasts prompted the agency to extend the order through Thursday.
The order excludes the Coachella Valley, residences above 3,000 feet in elevation, and homes where there is no other source of heat.
Fine particles in wood smoke can penetrate deep into lungs, causing problems for people with asthma or other respiratory disorders.

All The Dead Bodies Piled Up In Mounds
No wonder these corpses were pre-cremated:
Los Angeles County will bury the remains of 1,379 unwanted individuals in a mass grave Wednesday.
“This holiday season, many of us are reminded of how fortunate we are to be surrounded by loved ones,”
Supervisor Don Knabe told people assembled for a meeting at the downtown Hall of Administration on the eve of Wednesday’s burial.”Sadly, not everyone shares this blessing,” Knabe added, calling for a moment of silence.
The remains of those set to be buried at the Los Angeles County Crematory and Cemetery in Boyle Heights went unclaimed by family or friends. The county generally holds the cremated remains for about two years before burial.
“Some are homeless. Many were poor,” Knabe said. “Many have no families to grieve for them. Regardless of what their status in life was, each one of them mattered.”
