What's Taking So Damn Long?

For once these United Snakes are doing something of which we approve.

Noam Chomsky: America is accelerating the apocalypse

Global warming and nuclear arms conflicts threaten the planet,
thanks in no small part to U.S. policy failures

Bring it the fuck on already! We won't be here forever & we want to be absolutely certain no one else is getting out alive.

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The increase in U.S. productivity in the first quarter was a bit lower than initially thought and hourly compensation for American workers posted the biggest decline since at least 1947, according to newly revised government figures.

But overall, OF COURSE productivity is increasing. You get that when you replace human workers with robots and intelligent machines...

My guess is that some sort of extremely resistant super-flue is gonna wipe out a huge chunk of the population before we actually get around to blowing the place up. We're due for a good old fashioned pandemic, it's been a while.

And mikey, if you're still around: It's probably too late, but I finally noticed your comment to me over at Riddled from a couple weeks back and replied there.

"Flue?" Yeah, right -- chimneys are gonna get us! "Flu" of course. Sheesh.

Non-Contributing, Un-Productive Editor:
We are hoping not only for a very productive epidemic but one that involves flesh-eating so the survivors won't have to spend the rest of their sad existence burying the dead, but will only have to deal w/ streets knee-high in skeltons.

Bone meal's good fertilizer, right?

Everybody's A Critic Editor:
Y'know, we looked at a veritable shitpile of apoca-pix (including the one Weird linked) for an eternity (tried bing, even) but wanted it L.A.-style (bugger N.Y. & the Eiffel Tower) & the clichéd freeway & palm trees were the best we could get.

Not that the picture I linked to was much better. Oh well. I just didn't like that stupid stop sign.

On the bright side, MERS is looking pretty good.
