Local Action

From Meeya Meefla Via The PNW

Some of the yobs out there (I can hear them breathing.) may remember the Starkman Bldg. as a hotbed (at least an occasional hotspot) of cultural activity in the mid-1980s. I'd assumed the record company took its name from the edifice; apparently the other way around.

Anyway, it's been immortalized (for a while) by someone in Miami, 'though nothing to do w/ its '80s incarnation.A Minuteman gig there, almost 41 yrs. ago.

Academic jagoffery because it's been much used as a location.
Towards a multimethod approach for film geography:
a case study of Los Angeles’ Nate Starkman Building
This guy also lives in the I-95 zone but has a similar L.A.-themed layout. This is what I watch these days rather than pay constant attention to the constant bee ess, while waiting for FedEx to show w/ some wood so I can finish the baseboard & slap on the sand. Also building some buildings while waiting.
