Whatever the 1982 amount was in dollars ($500-ish I'd guesstimate) I wasn't about to buy "the finest shooting semi-automatic in the world [which] is the standard for competitive guns". Had I been in the market for a sidearm it would've been a reasonably-priced Saturday Night Special. So the police didn't find a gun nor did they actually "toss" the place; I knew they were coming (indeed, the detective & the mental health worker were supposed to meet me at my door a wk. ago Thurs. When I returned from Glendora, it was late & they decided to get to the station to go off shift & start their four-day wknd., so we made an appointment for Tues. 15 April, but the L.C.S.W. (I assume) had to go to some training, & we finally agreed on 1100 Thurs., by which time I could have buried any rod in the park, pawned it, sold it, or given it to someone for safekeeping until this blew over. (Not that I'd trust any of you squealing rats.)
*Psychiatric Catch-22: Damned if one does repress one's feelings, damned if one's "feelings" are homicidal anger & not repressed & suppressed. I'm not shaking my own bottle, the landlord (feudal bullshit) is.
