Pour Me Another Cup Of Coffee

So the truck drivers were a load of shit, 30 or so imbeciles showed,
There were police reports of about 30 tractor trailers with American flags and signs for their protest — “Truckers Ride for the Constitution” — driving at the same speed as the rest of traffic on the Beltway in Friday morning’s rush hour. But by mid-day the truckers appeared to have broken into smaller groups amid already-heavy volumes of traffic and rain showers on a holiday weekend.
all of whose commercial licenses should be revoked immediately. No one that foolish & ignernt should be in control of a lump of steel weighing up to 80,000 lbs. moving at 55 mph/88.5 kph (& faster in uncivilized areas). No current info (Meaning: Haven't/won't be arsed to enter the concept into a search engine.) on the Million Vets March also scheduled for D.C. this wknd., but the idea that a million veterans (or a million dung beetles, or fruitflies*) would show up to protest the House Republicans' government shutdown shutting down memorials is not convincing us that every fucking thing every fucking where isn't just an inane (& entirely unfunny/useless 'cept for schadenfreude value) fucking practical joke.
*Lifeforms of which one could more easily assemble a million, even in Washington, D.C. Although we could also be comparing veterans to dung beetles & fruitflies. Hard to tell, isn't it?

But didn't you see the picture of the hundreds of trucks participating in the protest? It was a bright and sunny day and people were lining the beltway, lining I say, to cheer them on!

Err, except not. Turns out that it was raining most of the day in D.C., and was dark and gloomy otherwise. I verified this by going to a D.C. television station's weather radar site. And it turns out that the photo in question actually is from a Make-a-Wish Foundation parade in MAY!

What, wingnuts lie? Ya don't say!

Our crack research staff did not bring that to our attention; had to look ourself. Ha ha.

Most of them being delusional, we're not sure they know when or if they're lying. No excuse, of course, but we do try to be understanding.

(& faster in uncivilized areas).

You'll find them going 70 mph on I-68 here in West Virginia.

Gotta give Cmdr. Cody &c. credit for a well-produced, non-tongue-in-cheek rendition.
