Thinks He's Real  Smart

Tex. Sen. Ted Cruz at the Values Voter Summit as quoted by Katrina Trinko at Nutty Review Online:
He maintained conservatives were pursuing a smart strategy in the budget battles. ”The greatest trick the Left has ever played is to convince conservatives we cannot win,” Cruz argued.
Sound familiar? Yes, he's getting Fido's attention. You've probably heard "The greatest trick the devil has ever played is to convince people he doesn't exist." Dirty, filthy liberals, deluding conservatives & devil-worshipping instead of Bible-thumping.

Onward we slog:
Speaking about the pro-conservative views of so many Americans, Cruz mused, “Why do so many Democrats pretend to be conservatives when they are running? For that matter why do so many Republicans do the same?”
So many Americans, but not most? What happened to "center-right" nation? Why did more Americans vote for Barack Obama, anyway? Also RINOs, heh indeed.
Cruz also made an offer to President Obama: If Obama agreed to a Q&A with ten conservatives, Cruz himself would do a Q&A on TV with a hundred of Obama’s “most rabid supporters.”
They never tire of the old "B. O'Bummer's no good w/o his TelePrompTer, Newtie Gingrich would clean the Kenyan's clock if they ever debated, affirmative action, blargh," but give Rafael "Ted" Cruz credit for not merely donning the Gingrichian mantle of intellectual gunslingerquick-draw artiste, but having the choots-pah to claim he's ten times smarter.

In horse race coverage, we wonder if the lack of editorializing & the quotes selected are a sign that NRO isn't 100% behind the Cuban-Canadian cuckoo/wacko bird. Then we think, what difference & sort of drift away ...

Cruz should get that presidential run going. It'd be a laff-riot of assholery the really privileged like Romney could only dream of displaying.

Still expect Boehner to roll, at least with a short term clean debt limit bill, but I've become totally convinced we need to die on this hill.

Lots of blood, economic, social, community, family, children, to be spilled, but spill it now before it becomes something truly nuclear and existential.

When the rich start bleeding money because the foundation of their financial empires, the US Treasury Bill is suddenly in default and global markets don't have reliable collateral for their short-term debt, we'll see some action.

Better now than later, when the cost will be so much higher...
