Bloomberg: “Halfway through the primary season, what’s not getting talked about much on the campaign trail? The Social Security Trust Fund’s new projection that it will run out of money by the end of 2032.”

“That’s upping the ante on the importance of the midterm races this November. With the Senate’s six-year terms, whoever wins this fall will be in office when the fund is depleted. Regardless of which party controls Congress, the next crop of politicians will have to decide whether to hike taxes to cover Americans’ Social Security checks, or slash benefits by an estimated 22%.”

Anyone remember the "Third Rail of American Politics"? "You touch it, you die!" And the promises that no one currently receiving Social Security would have their payments cut? Republicans don't care any more; they "love inflation".

Mehmet Oz, who calls himself “Dr. Oz”, made this most asinine statement on Fox News while speaking about Medicaid requirements:

“You have to work. You were not put on this planet to sit at home and watch TV. The average person who’s on Medicaid, who’s able-bodied, watches 6.1 hours of television, or just hangs out, every day. That’s not why God put you here.”

What an asshole!!!  It happens that “able-bodied” people are NOT on Medicaid, asshole!  They are on Medicaid because they are disabled!!! So, did this God actually tell ol’ Mehmet why he put us here???  Does he have some direct line to that entity?  And how the Sam Hell does he know just how much television anyone watches per day!  And does the idiot understand that those who receive Medicaid are disabled, that they have medical issues that prevent them from being able to work?  I have an idea … let’s chop both his legs off, then tell him to get a job and not be such a sorry ass.  Maybe then he’ll actually understand!
