At the local Kroger outlet, Ralphs, bananas, 65¢/lb. in 2021 & 69¢/lb. for the last few yrs., were suddenly 75¢/lb. today, & "organic" bananas, previously 79¢/lb., were 95¢/lb. That's a 7% increase for bananas, & a 16¢/20% increase for the "organic" ones. Th' fuck? Bet the people loading the banana boats don't see a penny of that.
