I don't think I would have thought that was so damn funny if I was a Brit in 1941. I know I wouldn't. I'd be more inclined to piss on Neville Chamberlain's grave for kicks and laughs, and I'd be counted among those who Churchill had in mind when he warned of dire consequences to Stanley Baldwin if the iron railing around his house was collected for the war drive.
