On the other hand, giving stupid children enough rope is not a bad move in the direction of population control &/or reduction. Nor are parents w/o blame. (Are they ever?) Another quandary where nihilism seems the only answer.

Any parent who fails to secure their furniture deserves to have their sprog or sprogette crushed, regardless of whether the furniture vendor originally provided a "securing kit" or not. Even in my childhood back during the Paleolithic pediatricians gave out urgent pamphlets to parents about child-proofing their homes by securing to the wall all furniture that could possibly topple. Granted, that was back in the era when doctors actually talked to patients rather than a 5 second "hi bye you owe me $5,000 for the visit" but ...
