Get Over Yourselves, Already

Self-absorbed D.C. twits, be warned: The eighth(or whatever)-largest economy in the world can buy you, your media company/aggregation outlet & the rest of your crummy little Media Village, bulldoze the entire ugly mess, & put up any number of California-style abominations, from half-leased strip malls to McMansions. Or we could blow up the damn place for a serious, D.C. reduced to dust blockbuster. (Why bother, though? It'll look more "real" as a CGI spectacle.) We probably won't, but be ready to pay through your snooty East Coast elitist noses for vegetables & fruits. And movies. Think how expensive movies will be.

Why are we so angry & threatening? (Find us a resaon not to be so. You can't, because there is always something even more awful happening.)
For outside observers, it was the first sign that the first California gubernatorial race in a while without Arnold Schwarzenegger in it might still be worth paying attention to.
We suppose the title

Week Of Shenanigans Makes The CA-Gov Race Interesting Again

of this piece of crap reveals the innate shallowness of the Village, & those attracted to it. If there's no has-been movie star* in this yr.'s race, it'll take some "shenanigans" for them to give a shit about the horse race?

Maybe the the most irksome part of this (Most of it's the usual Media Village Idiocy suspects. Why even bother w/ a fit about that?) is that there is a real & very serious issue here, which has been dismissed as "shenanigans."
Poizner alleges that Whitman is trying to force him out of the race. The email, posted on Poizner's website, is a request from Mike Murphy to a redacted official in the Poizner campaign floating a deal where Poizner would drop out in exchange for Whitman's support in a Poizner run against against Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) in 2012.

"I hate the idea of us each spending $20 million beating on the other in the primary, only to have a damaged nominee," the email reads. "And we can spend $40M+ tearing up Steve if we must; bad for him, bad for us and a crazy waste to tear up a guy with statewide potential -- really the only guy on the CA GOP bench for the future."
The billionaires have decided to divide California among themselves. Add (Republican, need we add that?) Senatorial candidate Carly (HP SuperFail Golden Parachute) Fiorina & Dianne Feinstein (multi-millionaire developer husband) & before you know it, it's their state, & we're just paying rent in it.

Our modest proposal to counter this neo-feudalist menace is a real Death Tax. We kill them & take all their money. Simple, & not too messy (unless the rich resist).

*We completely understand & grant that the Golden State has set an awfully high standard for elected officials; that's still no excuse for this non-reporting.
