No More Nothin'!

Stats:

G. Elliott Morris / Strength In Numbers:
Second “No Kings Day” protests likely the largest single-day political demonstration since 1970, with 4.2-7.6 million participants  —  Strength In Numbers partnered with independent Atlanta-based science newsroom The Xylom on Oct. 18, 2025, to produce a crowdsourced estimate of turnout for the second …
Jason Easley / PoliticusUSA:   No Kings Is Now The Biggest Protest Against A President In US History
Waging Nonviolence:   The resistance reaches into Trump country
Heather Cox Richardson / Letters from an American:
Today, millions of Americans and their allies turned out across the United States and around the globe to demonstrate their commitment to American democracy and their opposition to a president and an administration apparently bent on replacing that democracy with a dictatorship.
Quico Toro / Persuasion:
Going Full Venezuela  —  No Kings day feels eerily familiar to me. … I could feel the panic attack set in the second the suggestion was made.  “Would you go cover the No Kings protests on the 18th?” my editor asked, reasonably enough.  My heart started pounding, my palms sweating.
All well & good, but it may be tough organizing a general strike if at best two percent of the population showed.

A few pix:
