Beef Baloney

Roger Kimball / Spectator USA:
Trump's burger fête was a masterpiece
Gotta love some schmuck yammering about "robust, non-sissy" eatin' while cramming in as many "classical" references as he can. What a fruitcake.
Roger Kimball
It wasn’t quite the Cena Trimalchionis, but the robust, non-sissy feast that the President of the United States laid on for the Clemson Tigers — the college football team that just won the national championship — would in its own way have been the envy of Petronius’s diners. No larks’ tongues, but plenty of Big Macs, Whoppers, French fries, and pizza, all served up on gleaming White House china with the condiment proffered from silver bowls.
In case you couldn't figure it out, this somehow "owned the libs". Again.

The president not only ate a bunch of burgers, he just ate the Left’s lunch, again

I still don't get this "owning" process; assuming you're a godless communist, do you in any way feel that your lunch has been eaten, or that Lumpy "owned" you?

By the way, Bow-Tie Daddy, this is how one feeds (or fêtes) footsball players: THE BEEF BOWL! Not that an effete elitist typing furiously in his bow tie & thinking about Petronius would know anything about that, or much else to do w/ actual America. Esp. as he types for the U.S. version of a Limey rag.
