As noted below, Sheriff Hanlin of Douglas County, Oregon, thinks he's a constitutional lawyer. Maybe he can get work lawyering, because his sheriffing is not so hot.

Editor's note: Douglas County, Ore., Sheriff John Hanlin acknowledged this evening that there has been inconsistency in the number of fatalities and injuries reported in the Umpqua Community College shooting but failed to give an explanation. The injury toll, originally as high as 20, has dropped to 7 as of 5 pm PT on Wednesday. Earlier, the Oregon Attorney General said 13 people are dead but police revised that number to 10. It's unclear if the shooter is counted in that number. - Jillian
