Police responded to a bank robbery in Los Feliz on Thursday, Aug, 13, 2015. Mike Sandoval |
Very inspirational for lazy car-less types, by which I mean moi.A lone robber hit three banks in a one-hour span in Los Feliz Thursday afternoon, police said.
The man walked into the first bank about 1 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue, where he handed a "threatening note" to the teller, LAPD Detective Bret Richard said.
The man left without any money, changed his shirt and walked to another bank, Richard said.
He went to the next bank about 1:40 p.m. in the 4500 block of Franklin Avenue, where he gave the teller a note, but again got no money, police said.
The man then walked to a third bank about 2 p.m. in the 1900 block of Hillhurst Avenue, where he got money before fleeing, police said.
Additional details were not available.
Further observations: Apparently Bank of America tellers aren't very forthcoming w/ money, as our hero tried two B.s of A. before scoring at a Citibank branch; plan your fund-raising accordingly.
Further amplification: Per LAist, his first stop was also a Citibank, not the BofA (In the 1700 blk., dimbulb, not the 1600 blk.!!) w/ which I confused it. So adjust your plans.
