"... the policeman is there to preserve disorder."

Middle East water shortages may lead to large-scale civil unrest.
Yet another dimbulb who couldn't type his way out* of those plastic-tie handcuffs police authoritarians use to detain righteous protesters wants us to know that
A US Department of Defense (DoD) research programme is funding universities to model the dynamics, risks and tipping points for large-scale civil unrest across the world, under the supervision of various US military agencies.
Uh, mmm, wait, you're trying to say that the U.S. military will be supervising the "research programme," not the actual civil unrest? Or are you?

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the U.S. military were supervising civil unrest around the world. They cause a lot of it, why in the hell don't they oversee it?

Ossifers preserve disorder, Chicago 1968, during the Democratic Nat'l. Convention.

*If it weren't for the semi-funny I would've taken "why bother?" to heart.
