A Plea For Justice

Does she wear that war paint while killing, or just slap it on for the pix?
Sabrina Corgatelli, an accountant for Idaho State University, appeared on NBC’s “Today” show on Monday to defend trophy hunting amid mounting international outrage over last month’s killing of Cecil, Zimbabwe’s most famous lion, by an American dentist.

“Everybody thinks we’re cold-hearted killers and it’s not that,” Corgatelli said in the nationally televised interview. “There is a connection to the animal, and just because we hunt them doesn’t mean we don’t have a respect for them. Giraffes are very dangerous animals. They could hurt you seriously, very quickly.”
But it's O.K. if you're a Bible-thumper:
Genesis 9:3 says, "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything."

Genesis 27:3 says, "Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me."
Y'know which is the most very dangerous-est species of all, by body count (Not to mention the poisoned planet.) alone? Homo sapiens, that's which species. So here's my plea: When the fucking hell do we start slaughtering them like the killers they are?

I love the way people have gotten so comfortable that they see hunting as cruel. Because, you know, meat comes from Safeway - neatly wrapped in plastic. Truly precious that killing animals is just awful - oh, have you tried the steak au poivre?
