When Pigs Fly

ALTADENA (CBSLA.com) — Two Pasadena Police choppers are damaged and six people reportedly injured after the two craft collided Saturday in Altadena.

Early reports indicate the injuries are minor.

It is also unclear how the choppers made contact.

It is not known if the accident is weather-related.

The accident occurred at the Pasadena Police Department’s heliport just after 4 p.m.

The victims were all transported to the hospital where they are being evaluated.

All the accident victims are believed to be police department employees.

A police spokesperson did not know if either craft was in the air at the time of the collision.

  1. The weather, and the skies, were really scary this whole afternoon. The Pasadena cops and whatever rent-a-cops they hired did a damn good job dealing with traffic. Of all the things cops do, I don't have a complaint about traffic direction. Hope these guys are OK.

To L.A.'s credit most parking enforcement/traffic directing is handled by people w/o guns.

Pretty sure they were alright, the collision must've taken place very close to the ground.
