Bad news: Former Dodger (& other teams) manager Davey Johnson
dead at 82.
And today is the thirtieth anniv. of Cal Ripken, Jr. breaking Lou Gehrig's consecutive game record. Thirty yrs. ago I watched the ceremonies from a resort in Tempe, AZ where I was winding down my 18-yr. sentence in the banking industry at the new corporate location, where I had no desire to move. So I didn't. Was it all downhill from there?
Bigger picture: It's downhill from the very beginning. Give up now before it's too late.
