A simpler time. |
Not that it concerns me in any way, but I am quite amused that Lionel's 125th Anniversary Catalog has been met w/ wide-spread derision by the kinds of people who'd make 20+ minute YouTube videos about it. I watched one, which led to several more in the same vein being recommended. Tell you one damn thing, the prices
are outrageous. And Lionel apparently never gets the colors right: "Nagonna order one of these until I see it in a store" is a common refrain.
Should you care, the catalog is
just a click away. If you really care,
the gripers & complainers. My kind of people. Eff everything, it's all crap. And shame on Neil Young if he still has 20% of Lionel LLC. Google sez he does:
Wikipedia tells another story.
The brand's corporate journey is almost interesting, in a morbid way.
ADDED around 1911PT: The catalog is a masterpiece of illiteracy. Can no one read? Does no one check their work? Apparently conjunctions are just out of fashion. And "due" for "do"? Jeebus.
